China has warned India against escalating tensions in Ladakh by the Indian military, saying India should stop all provocative actions.
A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said India should immediately withdraw its troops crossing the border illegally and refrain from taking any further steps to aggravate the situation.
On the incident of Indian forces crossing the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh yesterday, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said that the Indian move was a serious violation of China’s territorial sovereignty.
According to the spokesperson, the Indian Army has damaged the relevant agreements and consensus between the two countries, and the Indian move has also damaged peace and stability in the border areas.
He added that the move by the Indian military was contrary to previous efforts by both sides to reduce tensions, and China strongly condemned the Indian move.
